THE DYLAN & THE DEAD convention which will be held over Easter Weekend (Good Friday to Easter Sunday) at The Dockyard Club, Onslow Road, Southsea, Portsmouth, PO5 2NH. On Good Friday (6 p.m- 11.30 p.m ) Woodstock legend BARRY “THE FISH” MELTON (co-founder of Country Joe & The Fish) appears solo, and will also be talking about his collaboration and friendship with Robert Hunter who was not only the lyricist for The Grateful Dead but occasionally Bob Dylan & Barry Melton! Barry will be joined by STEPHANE MISSRI from Paris, who collaborates with Barry in their Paris based band JAMASUTRA, is a genius banjo player, guitarist and singer. Support will be from the top class country blues duo SONS OF THE DELTA, and also DEAD CALM – Theresa Sanders & Colin Goble – will be appearing with a set of Dylan and the Dead material on guitar and accordion, a la Garth Hudson!
